I went skiing at Stevens for the first time today, because some co-workers and I decided to take advantage of the Ski Free passes from Shell. The conditions were perfect! It snowed the whole time we were there, and though it was somewhat breezy, it was cold enough that we didn’t get wet—the complete opposite of our MLK Day trip to Snoqualmie. Plus, I had a lot of great runs and didn’t fall at all! I think it’s time to start shopping for my own equipment. Best Presidents Day ever!

Umm, but I also like these Nordica Fox skis. I mean, they have “fox” right in the name! How could I not like them? They seem like they would fit better, too.

I’ve been bit by the ski bug, and am considering buying some equipment after the season ends (once it’s all more discounted). Hopefully these Line Celebrity 90s will be among my options.

I’m going skiing tomorrow for the first time in more than two years. Because I don’t go all that often, I don’t really have the appropriate apparel, so today I made a trip to REI. I got some way-too-expensive North Face waterproof pants (that I tried on, but hopefully don’t end up being too long), waterproof gloves, and special Smart Wool ski socks. And Zac said I can use his spare goggles, since it’s 99% likely to rain. I think I’m prepared now!
