We did a bit of off-leash snow time tonight, since it’s hard for Ellie to catch snowballs when she’s getting tugged by the leash. Unfortunately, a little after this, she decided she’d had enough of the snow and darted across the street to go inside. We are both really lucky that the car coming down the road was super slow.

Reading Goals: 2012 →
boookish:
Happy New Year!
I was a terrible reader in 2011. Though I read more books than I did in 2009, I also read 19 fewer than in 2010. Perhaps I over-reached with the goal of reading 52 books and got discouraged early on when I fell off pace. This year, my goal will be 40 books…
I blogged about my reading-related goals over at my book blog earlier, and I’m hoping that the...

Hi Lori! It’s a print by Seattle artist Derek Sullivan from here on Etsy. I really like it! He also has prints for Oregon and Idaho.

I’m on the hunt for a great last-minute costume, since I’m throwing a party on Saturday. Eep! But I think this is do-able… I found the dress (which is cute enough to wear later) and I have a hat I can repaint, so I’d just need to make a mask, tie and cape! Well, the tie might be tough…

#18: The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern →
boookish:
I’m going to preface this by saying I’m going to waste as little time and effort as possible thinking and writing about The Night Circus. If you are at all excited about this book, you probably shouldn’t read what I have to say about it. If you are hesitant about reading it, I hope you learn from my mistake. …
I hated this book. I hated writing about it. The only good thing...
